2005-08-10 - 10:44 a.m.Ugh. The forecast for next week at Cooper’s Lake is grim. Rain and thunderstorms everyday. Now while I realize that might change I’m thinking it might not have been such a good idea for the Middle to nickname their King “Stormbringer”.
It’s odd but I have no enthusiasm for going back right now. All the excitement that I had seemed to dwindle in the wake of all the work it took to set up camp. I’m just not feeling it now…
I know it’s my burnout and depression over Cesca’s death. I know that is a big part of it. I’m missing her a lot these days, feeling her absence.
Makes it hard to see the impending Pennsic deadline as something to care about…
Monday night was spent with parents and all I did was finish my shield, which took about 15 minutes..
Last night I was suppose to find and pack my clothes, which I did, except for modern clothes, underwear, socks, and accessories. So I got something done, just not enough.
Tonight is suppose to be armour night and tomorrow is loading and last minute work. Why do I think there will be a lot of last minute work?
On the plus side, I got a really nice backrub last night from my beautiful wife.
My stomach has been a wreck for a couple of days and my allergies aren’t great right now…but Magic Hat No. 9 is one good beer, let me tell ya…
Last night while we were working on laundry we watched Spiderman 2 again, and I found that my feelings for the movie didn’t change that much. I generally liked it, but there was way too much touchy-feely character development and not enough superhero time. I remember now from watching it that almost everyone important to Peter Parker knows that he is Spiderman now, and it definitely makes this movie feel very bridgish, sorta ‘Empire’ like. And I have reaffirmed my utter hatred for Mary Jane Watson. I wish someone would drop a truck full of bricks on her.
Where is The Rhino when you need him?
