First notice on the Halloween Party 2005-08-29 - 3:21 p.m. Prayers to Nawlins. The weekend was full of activity. On Saturday Fred and I did plumbing (we now have two working toilets thank goodness), almost all day. Then I attacked the overgrown shrubs in the front yard. On Sunday was more yard work, laundry, unloading the Pennsic trailer, martinis, Rome, etc. etc. Tonight will be more laundry and thank you notes. *** After a many year hiatus (can you say Chez Boys?) Kimmie and I have decided to resurrect the Halloween Costume Party. Right now we are shooting for Saturday Oct. 29th. The theme this year will be A “Retro” Cocktail Party. Costumes ranging from the 1920’s to the 1970’s are required for attendance so break out your love beads or your best zoot suit or Rat Pack ensemble. I (with the help of my talented barstaff) will be running a martini bar. If you come please help out by bring a bottle of your favorite beverage. We will have some light cocktails. (help with that is cool too daddio). As was typical for these parties, we will have door prizes for Best Costume, perhaps by Decade, and maybe another trivia contest. I intend on having appropriate music (musak?) and maybe a Rat Pack movie on in the background...ba ba ba boom.... Due to the smaller size of the house we are going to restrict numbers somewhat and not have the open free for alls that we used to have at the Chez. Therefore, if you are interested in coming, please let me know either in the guestbook or at my private address so we can send you an Invite. Costume is Required. Let me say that again so we all know the dealio. If you plan on bringing kids we will have an upstairs room set up with a DVD player, so please bring a movie for the kids to watch since this will be an adult affair.
