2006-01-11 - 11:09 a.m.Had a really good practice for the folks that attended last night, I think. I tend not to talk about fighting stuff on here as much since I started my private journal, but I just wanted to note that I had a really good time.
Right afterwards though, a headache started. I thought it was dehydration (hard to believe with as much water as I was pounding yesterday), but now I am sure it is a sinus headache. I feel miserable. I’m at work at least, and I have an appointment with my allergist tomorrow so maybe it will all work out. I was hoping that with being on Cipro and two types of nasty-assed nose sprays that the infection would be gone by now. Betty you had that sinus surgery didn’t you? Do you think it was helpful?
I am getting geared up and excited about the SCA and life in general again. Part of that is that we are over the winter hump, and the unusually warm weather makes me think it is spring. Also, the event calendar is filling up quickly. Kim wants to set back a bit from the massive quantity of events that we go to and focus on ones of quality. I think that is a really healthy approach, but it may lead to me going stag to a few fighting events here and there.
The house needs massive maintenance work. There are some pressing issues that I have been avoiding because of weather, health or laziness that need to be addressed. While I am sure that you don’t care, I need to get them out there in front of me to remind myself:
Install working fan in downstairs Bathroom.
Paint Kitchen.
Paint Great Room.
Paint and resurface wooden deck.
Massively trim and pull out certain hedges around the house.
Rake and dispose of leaves.
Fix Icemaker.
Replace floor tiles with water damage in bathroom and in kitchen.
Reorganize Shop, Storage and Shed.
Anyway, that was fascinating, no? I think I will start on the leaves. That is a backbreaking job at my place, but it is necessary and way late.Anyway, back to work. Hope your day is going well.
Oh, i'm one chapter away from the end of Book 4 of Harry Potter. On to the next one!!! (My reading list is huge right now)
