Below 250!
2006-01-16 - 11:36 a.m.I’m down to 248 and feeling great on the diet and exercise rountie. Raking and bagging leaves yesterday has nearly killed me though. I felt like warmed over crap this morning and then now my shoulders and neck are screaming at me. I don’t care, I am ignoring them. I haven’t felt this good in ages.
Today I am going to get my first allergy shot in over a year and ½. I am excited about all these great changes we are making in our lives but I’m worried about the cost. It is so much cheaper to eat crap than it is to diet. And my shots are expensive. None the less, it is full steam ahead.
Last Friday was one of the worst days I have had here at work in some time. So Saturday I came in for a couple of hours to catch up. After that I returned the soprano sax to the music store (lease was up) and then went out to Erindahl and Red’s to drop off belt parts and visit a bit. Afterwards, I got home to find out that Kim had invited Fred and Heather over for dinner, so I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the house up and leaf blowing. At dinner time our guests arrived and we had a really amazing low points dinner. Then we played Race Day and watched football.
On Sunday I got back to work on the yard, raking, bagging, using the leafblower/vacuum (love that tool!) and then it was a quick shower and a celebratory dinner at Outback, followed by a shopping trip to Target, and Starbucks. Felt like some of our more domestic friends there. Heh. Anyway, after that we lounged the rest of the evening away with a brief visit from Shelley.
Boondocks is by far the best show I am currently watching, but they have started replaying Deadwood reruns and I am eating those up. I can’t wait for that show to come back on.
Tonight I am going to go to the gym even though my shoulders are screaming at me. I promise to take it easy on them, but I need to maintain my cardio time. In thirty minutes I am out of here for my shots, unless something comes up. Wish me luck!
